Terms of service

1. What you are buying
QuantCard ("the Service") computes backtest verdict cards for trading rules you specify. For a given rule, market, timeframe and cost model, the Service fetches public historical candles, simulates non-overlapping positions, charges fees/slippage/funding, and reports statistics: per-trade mean, t-statistic, bootstrap confidence interval, permutation tests under two null hypotheses, in/out-of-sample split, drawdown and a four-block timeline. The output is a statistical statement about a rule under stated assumptions.
The Service does not provide investment advice, personalised recommendations, order execution, signals, custody of funds or assets, or any promise that a rule will work. Nothing returned by the Service is a suggestion to buy, sell or hold any instrument.
2. No performance claim
Cards describe the past on a specific public dataset with specific assumed costs. Crypto derivatives can lose more than the margin posted. You are solely responsible for any trade you make, and for verifying anything before you risk capital.
3. Accounts, API keys and quotas
- One subscription entitles you to a monthly allowance of computed cards, measured per billing period anchored to your charge date. Repeats of identical parameters are served from cache and are not billed.
- You are responsible for keeping your API key secret. A key is equivalent to your account for API calls; revoke it from the account page the moment it leaks. We cannot refund usage that happened under your key after disclosure, except where the disclosure was our fault.
- Quota is not transferable, does not roll over, and is not refundable in cash except as stated in the refund policy.
4. Acceptable use
- No reselling or republishing the Service's output as your own signal service, and no removing the "method and limits" section from cards you share.
- No attempts to bypass rate limits, quotas, or the enforcement of expired/cancelled subscriptions; no scraping the published falsification set into an automated trade pipeline and presenting it as advice to others.
- We may suspend a key that is being abused, shared publicly, or used in a way that threatens availability for other customers. We will tell you why.
5. Availability and changes
The Service is provided "as is", without uptime warranty. We may change features, plan limits, pricing and the statistical methodology; methodology changes are recorded in the card's own notes so old cards stay interpretable. We may discontinue the Service with 30 days' notice and refund the unused portion of any paid period.
6. Payments, tax and termination
Recurring billing, tax calculation and invoicing are handled by our payments partner Paddle (Commerce Content Limited / Lightning Purchase PTE. Ltd. acting as Paddle's affiliates), which acts as merchant of record — your invoice comes from Paddle, and so do receipts and chargeback handling. Cancel any time from the account page or by asking Paddle; access continues to the end of the paid period, after which the API key stops accepting new work.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the fees you paid in the three months preceding the claim, and we exclude liability for indirect, incidental and consequential losses — including trading losses, which are never foreseeable damages from a backtesting tool.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction stated on your Paddle invoice; nothing here limits non-excludable consumer rights in your country of residence.
